Introduction
I started getting
involved with home automation at the beginning of 1994 when I purchased
several X10 devices as an experiment and it went from there.
Information
regarding Home Automation in the UK was fairly limited, so I decided
to publish my experiences on the Web and this site has grown from
there.
I moved to
the US in Feb 2001 and being in a rented apartment my home automation
was limited to some X10 control temperature sensing and a Pan Tilt
Zoom web controlled camera which used software that I wrote myself
and later released as freeware/donateware (BDLCAM).
In April 2004
we purchased a house in the US and HAL2
